What is tea?

Tea is one of the most widely consumed beverages in the world, next to water. Tea is made from steeping camellia sinenses leaves, buds  (and twigs) in water.

Tea can be drunk hot, cold, iced - anytime, anywhere.

 

What's the shelf life of tea?

Tea shelf life varies - Black tea ha a longer shelf life than green tea - it varies according to the degree of processing.

The shelf life of herbal and fruit infusions is usually the shortest.

All  teas that we sell come with the shelf life displayed on the back.


How should i store tea?

The resealable packs that the tea arrives in are perfect for keeping the tea fresh. To prevent oxidation tea should be stored in an air-tight container in a cool, dark place.


Top tip for the best brew;

To develop the flavour of tea, be sure to use freshly drawn cold water  (for maximum oxygen) in your kettle.


How do you make tea without a tea bag - how do your use loose leaf tea?

A tea infuser or tea strainer will keep loose leaf tea leaves from floating in your cup. There are many different types
